Hero: a person who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities.

Did someone in particular come to mind when you read the definition of hero? Do you know someone that goes above and beyond for our community, that continuously volunteers their time and makes personal sacrifices for others? Then, we can all agree, they deserve some recognition and a ‘Thank You’!

On May 29, we are going to celebrate our local heros and volunteers at the Augusta Red Cross Heroes Breakfast!

Award presentations will be made to Augusta’s finest heroes in the following categories: Medical Hero, Law Enforcement Hero, Disaster Relief Hero, Animal Rescue Hero, Fire Rescue Hero, Educator/Community Hero, Nurse Hero, Good Samaritan Hero (for adult and youth), Water Rescue Hero, Military Hero, Community Partner Hero, Wilderness Rescue Hero, and EMT Hero.

All over the country, the Heroes Breakfast exceeded all expectations – with the country’s most philanthropic community members in attendance. With instrumental corporate partners like you, we expect this event to grow each year. We invite you to align your company with the American Red Cross, the most trusted and recognized humanitarian organization in the world, and consider supporting the event this year. The Heroes Breakfast was established in an effort to raise public awareness of local heroes and volunteers who carry out the mission of the Red Cross every day.
